I found this series at Therapy Den really helpful. The first article, How to find a therapist walks you through credentials, what to ask, and why therapists often don’t have reviews like other businesses (not only do folks avoid telling people they go to therapy – it is unethical for us to ask!).

The Therapy Den website is maintained by the adorable TherapyJeff of TicTok Fame.

I tend to be a therapist who is chatty, a little sarcastic, sometimes silly, and very ernest. I also really, truly believe in you and your ability to heal and grow. Acceptance is the primary focus of many of the discussions we will have, and we will do this by taking a step back from the problem and working to see ourselves and others through a clearer lens. There are lots of tricks and tools to this, but being able to pause before acting and having a newfound sense of hope is a big part of what you might notice first.
